I am a native San Antonian, and a family member of the original Canary Islanders that settled in San Antonio in 1732.  I started my passion for painting in 2006 while purchasing school art supplies for my son.  Something inside me said "This looks like fun!" so I purchased a set of paints, pencils and a sketch book.  The very first thing I sketched was our family dog, "Jean Luc".  Then from that point on, I became fascinated with the Renaissance era, and religious art.  I have moved past this genre and now continue fine tune my art toward detail and emotion.
