Collaborative Art Projects
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
As an artistic professional, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to translate what I experience into art. Since 2006, I’ve led a life fully devoted to the arts. It’s no lie to say I live, breathe and dream of art. I have experience in a range of media, although I have my own particular preferences that I keep coming back to. If my style speaks to you, I’d love to work with you in the future. Please be in touch to find out more and to discuss how we can collaborate on whatever you have in mind.
"We Are One - Apart"
As you will see in my collaborative works, each piece is a compilation of individual canvas swatches, created by many different individuals. All with the common goal of returning their finished swatch/s by the deadline date, so I could complete the piece.
"We are one - Apart" was completed in April of 2020. The swatches were created by 32 individuals over 6 cities and 3 states. This piece was created to signify and give strength to our unity as the human race, as we all face the unknown and unusual circumstances of being told to keep apart from one another. Although we are being separated, we will remain One!
"Rise"
"Rise" was created as a symbol of our nation, above the purple mountains and fruited plains, we will rise and overcome the challenges we as a nation and as the people who love our country and what it stands for. "Rise" was completed on July 4, 2020 in honor of Independence Day and reminds us that it will take all of us together to rise and become a great nation once again.
"Liberty"
"Liberty" was born during another turning point in our nation's history. This idea was to symbolize our Liberty and Freedom as we continue to stand together in the face of severe adversity in our country. The bright red flame burns large and bold to symbolize our strength as the collaborated works of art come together to continue to represent, together we stand, apart we fall. The best part of this, is when one of the collaborators painted her piece, she had no idea it was to be the first piece at the top of the arm, and she painted "Rise".
"I AM"
The great "I AM" - God in Heaven portrayed as the mighty lion who watches over us, conjoined by the many people (made up of the individual canvas pieces painted by various participants), in an effort to show unity. God and His people. Also, retrospective of "The Coat of Many Colors". This piece was placed in a drawing to win during the artists first art exhibit.
"Out of all of the collaborative pieces I've done, this one by far is my favorite" ~Donna Russell
